Figures are estimates based on each platform's published charges as at 20 October 2026, and fees change, so always check the platform's own charges page before opening an account. Cost is one factor among several, including fund range, service and features. Capital is at risk when you invest.

Cost as your pot grows

Yearly platform cost at different pot sizes, keeping your other answers the same. Tap a name to hide or show it.

What is included: account and custody fees, plan subscriptions, dealing charges on the trades you enter, and currency conversion if ticked. Stamp duty, the PTM levy and fund OCFs are left out, since they are the same wherever you hold the investment.

Assumptions: one account at each platform, charges worked out on today's value for a full year, and your monthly investment split between funds and ETFs in the same ratio as your holdings. Frequent trader dealing discounts only apply if your trades reach them. For ii and Freetrade we show whichever of their plans costs least for your answers. The ii plan fee covers its ISA, SIPP and trading account together.

Fund availability: Trading 212 and InvestEngine don't offer funds, and InvestEngine offers ETFs only. Whether a particular halal fund is on a platform varies, so check the Nisba halal fund list.
